The Border Wall
A new Comprehensive Immigration Policy will most likely include 'border security.'
Since the early 1990s, the United States has increased its spending on border
security. The Border Patrol has been more than tripled in size, and the overall
budget for policing the southwestern border has quintupled.

With an increased number of Border Patrol agents, and a double fence, many
migrants are now trying to cross the border further east of the San Diego-Tijuana
sector. But this area makes crossing much riskier. Over the past decade, at least
5,700 people have died in the desert heat.
